In 2012 the Scott County Historical Society will evaluate and update its K12 education programs/resources.  This project has three phases.

Phase One: Survey teachers regarding their needs/resources, using online/print surveys - focus groups - advisory committees.

Phase Two: Analyze surveys/group recommendations and evaluate SCHS resources/programs

Phase Three: Develop and pilot programs/resources based on analysis.

 **** National Arcives Expands Online Offerings for National  History Day ****

The National Archives announces the launce of a special website highlighting activities and documents related to the 2012 National History Day theme, Revolution, Reaction, and Reform in History.  Inspiration for National History Day projects can be found in sample documents, suggested topics, and special activities available at www.DocsTeach.org/home/national-history-day.


These online records include photographs, maps, textual records, posters, patent drawings, and video & sound recordings that reflect the 2012 theme and can be incorporated into any of the five National History Day categories.
