The Scott County Historical Society began collecting the history of Scott County in 1996 with the opening of the Stans Museum. The collections include photographs, objects, books, oral histories and archival materials. All items collected were either made or used in Scott County.

Whether searching for your ancestors or local history, our collection of microfilm, books, maps, photographs and oral histories are useful resources.
